Who's Who?

Ok, I know I have not posted any news in a while....it was a busy August. I promise to update on our beach trip, Maggie's birthday, the start of kindergarten, and other random things soon. For now, have fun with these pictures and see if you can tell which are Maggie and which are Julianne!!

Happy 7 week Birthday!

I was fast enough to finally catch a real smile!! I can't believe she's 7 weeks old today.

Welcome Home, Julianne!

On Thursday, May 14th at 7:43am, Julianne Claire was born. She weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz. and measured 19 1/2". She is beautiful (yes, we are biased) and we are so glad to have her in our family! We are so thankful for her safe arrival after what could have been a serious complication during the delivery. Let's just say, I am so thankful for my doctor.

Big sister Maggie and big brother Zachary love to love on her...which has been difficult for the past week, since both have been sick with a random virus that has caused fever, runny noses, coughs, etc. We are trying our best to keep the older two a safe distance from her. Knock on wood, we've managed to keep mom, dad, and baby well so far.

Julianne has her two week check up tomorrow. We are praying that she will have finally started to gain weight! It took her a while to figure out the whole eating thing...or, for her to stay awake during the whole eating thing... or, for her to wake up to even try to start the whole eating thing... Of our three children, she's definitely the best sleeper at this age!! We've have many nights of only waking up once to eat. Neither mom or dad have complained about that. :)

Dressed for Success?

I've started letting Zach dress himself most days, or atleast pick out what he wants to wear. For the most part, he's doing a pretty good job. This is what he came up with a couple of weeks ago. In case you are wondering...yes, we did run errands that day and yes, this is what Zach wore minus the one glove. I'm sure I had funny looks for the Halloween sweatshirt in APRIL in 80 degree temps. Some battles you just don't fight with a three year old...

She's growing up...

I can't believe that the time has come to register my baby for kindergarten! Where have the past four and a half years gone? In August, Maggie will turn 5. Only two short days later, she will begin kindergarten at Pine Ridge Elementary school. She is excited about her new school and the "restaurant" (i.e. cafeteria), library, and playground. She is eager to learn. I hope that she is still excited come August when school starts. I know she will do great and enjoy it; I pray that I will do just as well with the transition.
